וממאי דפיישי הכי דכתיב (מלכים ב ד, מג) ויאמר משרתו מה אתן זה לפני מאה איש מאי לפני מאה איש אילימא דכולהו לפני מאה איש בשני בצורת טובא הוו אלא דכל חד וחד קמי מאה איש

And how do we know that this many remained? As it is written, “And his servant said: How should I place this before 100 men?” (II Kings 4:43). What does it mean “before 100 men?” If we say that all of it was placed before 100 men, in years of drought this is a lot of food! Rather, each and every one was placed before 100 men.
